Cardiomyocyte Bucky!

Cardiomyocyte Bucky
The lab of Wendy Crone has collaborated with the SCBRM lab to use polyethylene glycol (PEG)-grafted, micropatterned culture substrates to study the effects of 2-D cell aggregate shape on the maturation of cardiomyoctyes derived from human pluripotent stem cells. In the image, the engineered substrates provide microscale control of cardiomyoctye adhesion in the shape of UW Madison’s mascot, “BUCKY the Badger.” For more information, check out our Biomaterials publication.
